Term 2 week 2

Term 2 week 2

MONDAY

This week we had a drama class. We had to volunteer ourselves. Ms Malyana gave us a scenario about robbery, the volunteers were told to act out a scene where they had to go into a house and steal something heavy.After that scenario, we had to create a moving picture.
we had to volunteer 10 pupils to start the moving picture. The pupils cannot talk, the moving picture is like a silent movie The volunteers was creative and they did quite a good job in making the moving picture.Ms Maly add a few more students inside the 'the silent movie'. From a movie that is about traveler inside the jungle the 'the silent movie turned into a fairy tale where trees can walk. The whole story was very funny.

After finishing the moving picture, Ms Maly told us to get back to our sits and she gave us a small little piece of paper. We were told to write a feedback on what we had learnt and what we want to learn.

FRIDAY

We had no lessons because it is a public holiday ( Good Friday ). But still i have to type about something that is related to Literature. No School

Do you know that one of the earliest known literary works is the Sumerian Epic of Gilgamesh, an epic poem dated around 2100 B.C., which deals with themes of heroism, friendship, loss, and the quest for eternal life. Different historical periods have emphasized various characteristics of literature. Early works often had an overt or covert religious or didactic purpose. Moralizing or prescriptive literature stems from such sources.The exotic nature of romance flourished from the Middle Ages onwards, whereas the Age of Reason manufactured nationalistic epics and philosophical tracts. Romanticism emphasized the popular folk literature and emotive involvement, but gave way in the 19th-century West to a phase of realism and naturalism, investigations into what is real. The 20th century brought demands for symbolism or psychological insight in the delineation and development of character.
